The Wild Onion Urban Adventure Race

Forcasters have predicted another subpar crop of Onions for '05. Much to analysts dismay '05 is shaping up to be another down year for subsidies and soil conditions. As the markets change speculators will get the word out. Until then news on Wall Street about a bumper crop of Scallions continues to excite investors and analysts predict better than average returns for the 2005 Wild Scallion in Chicago on September 24th!

The Washington Post named it one of the top 6 adventure races in the world. Through exploration and competition this 24 hour team event is designed to provide a challenging athletic experience contained entirely within the boundaries of major cities around the US. It includes a race component as well as several events for spectators.

The race is
24 hours long, covers approximately 100 - 125 miles of air, land and water terrain within a city and includes 200 - 300 athletes organized into co-ed teams. Each leg of the race focuses on a different athletic discipline such as canoeing, kayaking, in-line skating, cycling, running, scootering, stair climbing, rappelling and city navigation to name a few. Each leg also integrates a certain unique aspect of the city such as a specific attraction, urban resource or historic landmark. Each race is totally unique to our host city.
