Who Are We?
Urban Adventure Racing, LLC is the founder and leader of urban adventure racing. We produce the Wild Onion Urban Adventure Race^TM Series. We created this new sport by integrating the traditional elements of adventure racing with unique athletic challenges found only in urban environments. Utilizing cities as our playground, we continuously seek to innovate the sport by incorporating urban resources and showcasing city attractions. We are committed to making urban adventure racing accessible and challenging yet safe and entertaining for conditioned athletes and spectators from any street corner. We offer training clinics and interactive educational seminars on urban adventure racing. Our corporate outreach program includes team building, group dynamic seminars and skill clinics using adventure racing as a model to learn from.

Urban Adventure Racing, LLC. was founded by three veteran adventure racers: Will Burkhart, John O'Connor, and John Hamill. Among the three of them, they have volunteered for, crewed at or raced in dozens of races for the past five years. With the success of last year's Wild Onion Adventure Race, they are excited and committed to giving competitors another challenging and fun adventure race in an urban setting.
